I Saw You Checking Me Out 😏
How I built my first dashboard- Goal Empower 200#
Recently, I was curious about Canadian Immigration over the last 40 years, so last Saturday I decided to perform some data & visual analysis using Python (Google Colab). I uploaded the time plot to my new you tube channel — you should see it. But hey, remember to come back here, I’ve got some career saving gist for you.
Yesterday, I was at Covenant University to facilitate a (5 Weeks) corporate training on Technical Business Data analytics & Artificial Intelligence, it is a tremendous experience.
If you watched the video (Canadian Immigration), you’d realise the increase in the number of immigrants over the years. Though, am not so concerned about the immigration chart as it were, however, the ability to tell a story using python is profound.
I’m looking at organising a Twitter space on data visualisation & structures for enterprises, if you’re interested, you can retweet/like the post so you’ll be notified when/if I schedule it.
Data Story Telling
In 2018, while I was heading a startup in Lagos, for obvious reasons my management (board) needed some form of dashboards etc to tell the true nature of the business. I wasn’t so familiar with plotting interactive/static dashboards then, this was were my little journey into Business Intelligence with Power BI started. Back then, I didn’t know that this tool would form the crux of my career in the coming years.
Before 2018, sometime in 2016 I started to learn about industrial big data, industrial internet and so forth. I began to get familiar with the concept even though I still lacked practical hands-on training in data analytics.
Over the years, I have been able to transition my career and go deep dive into tech. This can happen for anybody as well, it takes consistent efforts.
